How We Came About
Visual Futures has been founded on a shared passion for communication.
We are currently a team of two: Liz Churton and Tasha Poland.

Liz Churton (CEO) graduated from art school in the early 80’s and worked as a community artist before eventually going back to university to train as an English and Drama teacher in secondary schools. She worked in education for 26 years, increasing finding herself working within extremely challenging leadership and management situations requiring her to communicate and facilitate complex change initiatives and processes, often with very resistant organisations. With a sense of real urgency, she further developed her skills as a visual communicator so that she could bring transparency and clarity to difficult situations. Liz is currently doing a PhD through practice research degree with The Northern Film School (Leeds Beckett University). The focus of her PhD is on visual thinking and storytelling.
Natasha Poland (Creative Director) has come from a very interesting background and is very much at the beginning of her career journey; being a gifted and talented individual, she entered university a year early to study animation and illustration, while also having a grounding in science and technology. Natasha’s skills as a communicator, illustrator and animator are first class.
